Feeder is a news feed reader which reads RSS, RDF and atom feeds. The main window of Feeder is a ticker element which shows all news headlines. The headlines are clickable, a single click opens the news message in the user's web browser. If the news feed includes short descriptions of the news entries, Feeder shows them on a mouse-over in a message window. A double-click opens the message window permanently. The user can position the ticker window in an arbitrary size anywhere on the desktop. A basic function of Feeder is the news feed cache. It allows to mark the current cache as read by a single click, so only new news feeds will appear in the ticker. Feeder updates the cache every 30 minutes by default but this value can be changed by the user.
