Binary Viewer is a free windows utility allowing you to open and view any file located on your computer regardless of format file was saved. It can display data in binary, decimal, octal, hexadecimal and text (ASCII or Unicode) formats. Program supports Alternate Data Streams (ADS). It also provides functionality of searching within file, copy/paste/save file dump into the file or clipboard.
Program can also browse entire physical disks or flash memory drives.
Additional to text and numerical display of file contents there are two additional tools helping to interpret the file:
1. Visualizer which displays contents of the file in the oft of image. Every dot of the image corresponds to the value within the file and its color depends on this value.
2. Histogram which displays file histogram and basic file statistics.
Besides basic functionality that is targeted towards file viewing and analysis, program contains several useful file utilities:
1. File encryption and decryption (using symmetric key)
2. Base-64 file encoding and decoding.
Program has simple and intuitive user interface, supports large file sizes (up tp 16TB), has very small memory footprint is very responsive and first of all is absolutely free.
